Shades - 1.1.5

Shades is a FREE utility for controlling the brightness of your screen. It runs in the background providing easy control over the brightness of your display via a slick Mac-like interface, with greater dynamic range and finer granularity than the built-in controls.

Unlike other solutions, Shades works by obscuring your screen with a darkened overlay. It doesn't change your display settings and won't screw up your colour profile. It also means you won't lose your cursor!

What's new in this version:

* [new] Added checkbox to preferences to enable launching Shades automatically at login, or after a restart.
* [new] Added preference to switch Shades to background-mode (no dock icon or menu bar). When you change this setting you must quit and re-launch Shades in order for it to take effect. Please note that when the menu is hidden, you must click on the menu icon or slider and press "Command-," (comma) to access the Shades preferences.
* [fix] Shades menu item is now drawn in a theme-savvy way.
