Simple Comic - 1.1

Simple Comic was written for one specific task, viewing comics, nothing more nothing less.

* Two page layout: Pages are by default laid out as they would be in print. Double wide images are properly handled and displayed even in two page mode. Single page viewing is of course available if so prefered.
* Alternate page ordering: Pages can be layed out either left to right or right to left.
* Multiple page scaling options: Original size, fit to window, horizontal fit to window and scale to defined height.
* Fullscreen: Comics can be displayed fullscreen.
* Archive handling: Never decompress another comic archive. Simple Comic can seamlessly deal with .cbr, .cbz, .zip and .rar files even if they are nested.
* Multiple sessions: View multiple comics at one time. Sessions are handled separately allowing each to maintain their own settings.
* Pick up where you left off: Feel free to exit Simple Comic as your sessions will be restored the next time it is opened.

zxsp-osx - 0.6.6

zxsp is a simulator for the historic ZX Spectrum home computer family.

zxsp supports ".sna" and ".z80" snapshot files, ".tap" and ".tzx" tape files, excellent sound, precise screen and border effects, a virtual tape recorder, virtual keyboards and USB joysticks.

zxsp supports ZX Spectrum models with 16 kB ram, 48 kB ram, the +128, +2 and the +2A/B. If you still own one of the emulated machines and find that the simulation does not match the original, you are welcome to contact me for further improvement. Just keep the original thing ready for tests. B-)

zxsp can load, save, and dub in any direction between a virtual machine, the built-in virtual tape recorder, and a real-world tape deck or real-world machine. So you can archive your old tapes or load them back into a real machine.

zxsp comes with a debugger with register edit for the main chips, a video beam position indicator, single stepper and memory disassembly. The machine can be throttled down to 1 Hz or overdrived to 20 MHz cpu clock. You can directly load Z80 assembler sources into zxsp.

darken / brighten - 3.0.0 u

This little gem is probably one of the most under-estimated iMovie plugs-ins in our line-up. It is a general color effects plug-in whose features do sound a bit boring: it allows you to make parts of your clip darker or brighter. Still, the plug has some amazing capabilities that elevate it above most of the other one-trick pixel-pushers. It allows parallel darkening and brightening with relative and absolute values, allowing you to apply some special effects that would usually require multiple passes (and multiple plug-ins). The algorithm first applies the relative darkening or brightening, without applying any clipping to brightness. It then applies the absolute darkening/brightening, and only then clips the pixel's value to the legal range.


What should i use it for?

Use darken/brighten when you need to adjust the brightness of a clip. Remember that with all cf/x clips you can choose the area of effect. Therefore you can use it to introduce stylish-looking darker bars at the top and bottom or at the sides of the clip. Or you can use it to spotlight an interesting part of the clip (either by making the interesting area brighter, or everything else darker).


Using a combination of relative and absolute settings (in the same run!) you can achieve wash-out as well as heightened contrast effects.
