Aquamacs Emacs - 1.0a

FontNuke is a utility application for Mac OS X Tiger that removes corrupt / troublesome font cache files. I created this application as a tool for my personal use at the office, and has become very useful for me. To grant individual non-admin users the ability to remove font cache files, without my involvement--is HUGE! Not to mention intelligent application quitting, plus a GUARANTEED reboot, makes my life easier. FontNuke removes system font caches, Adobe font caches (*.lst), Microsoft Office font caches, and now also (as of version 1.0.6) QuarkXPress 6.x/7.x font cache files. Not to mention it's free. I have recently added an option which purges spotlight indexes on startup volume from /.Spotlight-V100. This has been added due to some intermittent unresponsiveness when searching network volumes for some of my MCX clients. Please use this feature with caution. D2X-XL - 1.9.227

D2X-XL is an enhanced version of D2X, the OpenGL modification of the classic 6dof shooter game Descent 2. D2X-XL is available for MS Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. It is well documented and maintained.

Although D2X-XL contains a lot of enhancements and new features, it is still fully backwards compatible to every other Descent 2 version. As many fixes restore features of the original Descent 2 that were missing in D2X (like availability of all cockpit views, or working mouse steering), it is even closer to them than D2X itself.

TinkerTool - 3.7a

TinkerTool is an application that gives you access to additional preference settings Apple has built into Mac OS X. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system.

The tool makes sure that preference changes can only affect the current user. You don't need administrative privileges to use the tool. With this design, it is no problem to use TinkerTool in professional networks where users have restricted permissions. The program will never change any component of the operating system, so the integrity of your system is not put at risk, and there will be no negative effect on system updates.

All preference settings changed by TinkerTool can be reset to Apple's defaults, or to the state that existed before using the tool. No dangerous background processes are used for TinkerTool's operation.

WhatSize - 10.3.92

WhatSize is a simple tool that allows the user to quickly measure the size in bytes of a given folder and all subfolders and files within it. You would be surprised at how many useless files might be laying around on your hard disks. The files and folders are automatically sorted by size, with the biggest sizes first.

While the app is measuring a folder the user can browse the files within that folder and immediately see the size in bytes. Hidden files, cache files, directories will all show up with their corresponding size. This application is similar to the ancient NeXTSTEP, DarkForest.

Once the measuring of a folder has ended the user can also view the information by filtering for particular file sizes or types. The user can also move unwanted files and folder in the corresponding Trash bin similar to the Finder's Delete button.

Play MiniTunes - 1.2.2

Play MiniTunes is a iTunes quick song player and controller. It has two functions. One is the song "search-and-play" in which you type the song or artist name, hit the return key and presto your song starts playing! If more than one song matches the criteria, all matches are displayed and you make pick which one you want to play. If you do the artist search, all songs by that particular artist is brought up. The second half is a nice and easy controller where it displays the track info, plus fast forward/next track, play/pause, rewind/back track, and volume control. There is a button that will show a panel with the current song's album artwork as well. Also in the application menu you are able to open the iTunes prefs, and use shuffle, repeat, rank current song out of 5 stars, set genre and more.

Paintbrush - 0.6

Paintbrush is a Cocoa-based paint program for Mac OS X, similar to Microsoft Paint and the now-defunct MacPaint. The project's ultimate goal is to recreate the basic functionality of Microsoft Paint, which has been noticeably absent from Mac OS X for years. GimmeSomeTune - 3.7.2

GimmeSomeTune is an application that extends iTunes' functionality. With GimmeSomeTune, you can download lyrics and album covers without the user having to do anything - so that he can do things the computer can't do for him. Furthermore, it shows you iTunes' currently playing song in a beautiful floating window, which you can hide with the push of a button, and it can as easily be brought back to the foreground. GimmeSomeTune offers the user a lyrics-window, which shows you the lyrics of the currently playing song. In this window, you can also edit the lyrics on the fly, and, if GimmeSomeTune can't find any lyrics, look for them on Google. Of course, GimmeSomeTune features a vast number of hotkeys to control iTunes (and parts of GimmeSomeTune itself) out of any application. Alternatively, or as a complement, there is a mini-controller that lets you control iTunes with the mouse. To please every individual user, GimmeSomeTune has functionality to change it's appearance. The user can, amongst other things, modify the infowindow and the status menu. Even the information GimmeSomeTune shows you is changeable. Other features of GimmeSomeTune are support for iChat, a "Recently Played" menu and a daemon, which starts and quits GimmeSomeTune whenever iTunes starts or quits.
