Galerie generates galleries on web pages with pictures and QuickTime media files (VR panoramas, video, sounds).
For each picture or media file a separate page will be created with navigation to next and previous pages.
One or more index pages will show thumbnail images of all pictures, each linked to the corresponding page in the gallery.
Galerie will work with a selection in iPhoto, or with a selection in a browser window of GraphicConverter, or with a selection in a iView MediaPro catalog, or with a selection in Extensis Portolio 7 catalog, or with files or folders dragged from the Finder.
Collections of editable templates and many options enable creating a large variety of different galleries with different designs and different features.
You do not need to know any html to use Galerie fully, but if you do have some experience with web editing, you can go a step further by editing or creating templates yourself.
What's new in this version:
New
* Adaptation for the changed handling of embedded QuickTime content by recent versions of Internet Explorer for Windows. (Not yet applied for popup windows.)
* IPTC data from JPEG images can now also be used if available in the special format that is used by some versions of Adobe Photoshop.
* Now also with QuickTime media in a gallery, zipped media files can be added for downloading.
Improvements
* Generated pages will now pass W3C validation for HTML 4.01 Transitional if templates v5.4.0 are used.
* In Internet Explorer 6 for Windows navigation in vertical frames will now work as expected.
* Better behaviour with navigation in frame galleries inside another frame.
* Improved text size and window size computing for popup windows.
Fixes
* A problem fixed where non-Latin translations for "previous", "next" and "page" could stop gallery generation with a AppleScript error.
* The QuickTime logo thumbnail for a sound file will now correctly replace a pre-existing thumbnail.
