SeisMac - 2.0

SeisMac turns your Sudden Motion Sensor-equipped laptop into a three-axis seismograph. It shows a scrolling chart of the three axes of acceleration, reading two hundred samples per second.

The resizable, real-time scrolling display shows an enormous amount of acceleration information. Place your laptop on a table, and see the seismic waves from tapping your toe on the floor. Lay your laptop on your chest and see your heartbeat. And, of course, if there is a real earthquake, SeisMac will be displaying full seismic information while you drop, cover and hold-on.

When running on the MacBook or MacBook Pro, SeisMac has a range of plus or minus two gravities of acceleration, displaying 256 values per gravity, sampled two hundred times per second. SeisMac is also compatible with older Sudden Motion Sensor-equipped iBooks and PowerBooks.

Xbox 360 Controller driver - 0.04

This driver adds support to Mac OS X for the official Microsoft Xbox 360 wired controller. Along with all the buttons, both analog sticks, the analog triggers and the D-pad, it implements Force Feedback support using the rumble motors as well.

As the driver is open source, it is also possible to see an example of how to communicate with the driver directly, to control the LEDs as well as bypass the Force Feedback functionality for direct rumble motor control.

Third party controllers should also be supported, but these must be added manually to the driver's list of supported devices. Currently this includes the official controller and the DOA4 stick controller.

MailFollowup Mail Plugin - 1.1

Adds a "Followup" item to the Message and contextual menus (and optional toolbar item) of Apple's Mail application that allows you to compose (and then send) a quoted version of the original message to all of the original recipients, keeping the To, Cc and Bcc addresses exactly as they appeared in the original message. GrandPerspective is a small utility application for Mac OS X that graphically shows the disk usage within a file system. Relationship Completer - 1.0.0

Let’s say you have the two Address Book entries: “John Doe” and “Jane Doe”. If John and Jane are married, you may set the appropriate “Related Name” fields in Address Book to denote this fact. To completely realize the relationship you will need to add a spouse relationship to both John and Jane’s entry - each pointing to the other. This violates my first law of data entry duplication: don’t do it.

That’s where Relationship Completer comes in. It will add a new menu item for “Related Names” that allows you to automatically complete the relationship by creating the complementary related name entry. Now all you need to do is create one of the spouse entries and have the other one created automatically.

PDFView - 0.14.3

PDFView is a lightweight Mac OS X application to display PDF files.

What does it offers more than Preview?

* By default, the main window will open up maximized, and the zoom level will be automatically the highest possible to fit the document into your screen - so that documents will become finally readable. Especially valuable if you are using a small size screen.
* PDFView supports a powerful full screen mode, and a innovative "presentation" mode, in which nothing is displayed but your document, not even scroll bars. This mode is designed with Beamer user in mind, but not restricted to them. Apple Remote support is also planned, in the future.
* PDFView offers powerful integration with LaTeX:

Latency Fixer AU - 1.0.1

The plug-in reports to the host application that it has a latency (controlled by the plug-in parameters) but does not actually apply any processing to the audio signal. This causes the host to use its own latency compensation to advance the audio fed into the plug-in by the requested amount.

This is useful to compensate for e.g. routing audio via outboard effect processors, where the audio's journey out of your audio interface and back in to the computer introduces a latency into the signal. For example you may find it useful in conjunction with Logic's Helper->I/O plug-in.

For it to work, the host application must support 'plug-in delay compensation' and the feature must be turned on. Recent versions of Logic and Digital Performer support this feature, for example. (Preferences->Audio->General in Logic.)

In general applications will not respond to changes in the latency setting during playback. If you need to interactively set the latency, try setting this plug-in to a large setting and then using my Buffer Delay plug-in to experiment with different settings. Once you've found the correct values, subtract the Buffer Delay delay from the latency setting and remove the Buffer Delay plug-in.

Unfortunately Logic 6 does not respond to changes of latency at all, even when playback is stopped. As a workaround, Latency Fixer remembers its last used settings and uses them as defaults when creating a new instance of the plug-in, which is the only time Logic 6 queries the latency. Logic 7 works properly, in that it responds to latency changes in the plug-in.

Diabetes Logbook X - 1.4.4

Diabetes Logbook X is a free, or charity donation-ware, logbook for tracking and reporting diabetes related events: blood glucose level, insulin units (for two insulins), carbohydrates consumed, medication taken, ketone tests, events and notes.

It's your data so you can export the data as a text file and import data from other diabetes sources, currently: Diabetes Logbook X export files, Logbook DM v3.3 for Palm (CSV export file), UTS Diabetes v1.3 (saved email file).
